Turmeric:
- In India, turmeric (the golden spice) is a sacred herb that has great potential to prevent cancer, so it is used in the treatment of cancer.
- In ayurveda, inflammation is reduced by using turmeric as the inflammation is common in major illnesses. Recent research report stated that turmeric shows a consolidative anti- cancer property and it can prevent the growth of cancer cells.
- Usage of turmeric increases the quality of life in cancer patients. Turmeric based lotion can reduce the skin sensitivity in turn reduces the risk of skin cancer. Risk of breast cancer is reduced by taking turmeric in our daily life
- Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) is a shrub of Solanaceae family. Ashwagandha is used to treat many diseases including arthritis, epilepsy, depression, diabetes, impotence, amnesia, anxiety, cancer, neurodegenerative and cardiovascular diseases.
- It also has additional properties of analgesic, rejuvenating, regenerating, and growth-promotion.
- Various cancers such as colorectal, lung, ovarian, gastric, prostate, thyroid, cervical, melanomas, renal cell carcinoma, and promyelocytic leukemia are reduced by use of ashwagandha.
