Esophageal cancer stages

Esophageal cancer stages measure disease volume and spread from limited (I) to advanced (IV).

Stage 1

In early esophageal cancer stages, the tumor is confined to the esophageal wall without lymph node involvement.

Stage 2

Cancer invades muscle or lymph nodes; treatment options include conventional medicine and Ayurveda.

Stage 3

It is a condition of a tumor so large that it makes swallowing impossible and moves to the neighboring lymph nodes.

Stage 4

Rarely does a patient survive at this stage, which is highly aggressive and spreads rapidly.

If you experience any signs or symptoms that could be caused by esophageal cancer, you should always see a doctor.
